Skymedical has, once again, supported the practical component of a cadaveric ultrasound guided intervention course, organised by Neuro & MSK. Dedicated to the Pain-Muscle-Nerve Ultrasound of the lower limb, the session also counted on the partnership of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, which held the session between the 16th and 17th of April.
This course aimed to promote medical training in this area, allowing its participants to acquire and practice guided intervention techniques.
During the sessions, a specialised team addressed several topics related to nerve ultrasound, specific associated techniques and practical aspects of treating different pathologies linked to this area.
In the practical component of the course, participants had at their disposal Sonoscape and Stryker equipment, both Skymedical’s partners. For this course, Sonoscape provided state-of-the-art, high-tech ultrasound scanners that grant clarity in each image and confidence in the diagnosis. Stryker, on the other hand, provided a radio frequency generator – Multigen 2, used to treat pain through a minimally invasive procedure.
Through this initiative, Skymedical, with the support of its partners, continues its mission, being alongside health professionals and adding value to their experience and knowledge.
