To mark its 75th anniversary, CUF opens a new hospital — an ambitious project designed to respond to the diseases of the present and the future: the new CUF Tejo hospital opened to the general public on September 28 and represents a technological landmark with several Stryker equipment provided by Skymedical.
With ten operating rooms and 200 inpatient care rooms, the new CUF Tejo Hospital reinforces CUF’s positioning as the largest private health care company in Portugal.
Stryker, the world market leader in medical technology, is responsible for equipping all the operating and recovery rooms — outpatient and inpatient rooms — with the latest materials and tools, such as surgical lights, anesthesia pendant, surgery pendant, 4K monitors, surgery camera, light source, image recorder, insufflator, arthropump, Shaver and Radiofrequency System, Switchpoint Infinity 3 Integration System and Neptune3 Waste Management System. The operating rooms will also have Stryker surgical engines and 20 surgeon stools.
The inpatient and examination rooms in CUF Tejo Hospital are furnished with beds, stretchers and armchairs from Stryker. The hospital also has 40 transport stretchers, all in line with the best technology available on the market.
Stryker’s equipment will also be available for several medical specialties, such as Orthopedics, General Surgery, Cardiology, Gynecology, Urology, Otorhinolaryngology and Neurology, always meeting their different needs and having the patient’s well-being as the ultimate goal.
Skymedical is Stryker’s official agent in Portugal, since 2013, for the specialties of Orthopedics, Trauma & Extremities, Sports Medicine, Neurosciences, Spine, IVS, Visualization, Equipment, General Surgery, Orthobiologics and cements.
